Invisible by Design

VFX Cleanup

Nobody notices great cleanup. Everyone notices when it's missing.

The Work

Good cleanup never shows.

Wires gone, rigs invisible, skin flawless, backgrounds clean. Our team removes every distraction so the audience stays in the story, not questioning the shot.

04

QC + Delivery

Triple quality check, then delivery in your format. Revisions included if anything needs adjustment.

What You Need to Provide

  • Source plates with cleanup areas noted
  • Clean plates (if available)
  • Reference frames for beauty work
  • Technical specs (resolution, format, frame range)
  • Priority notes (which shots are most critical)
  • Any specific cleanup instructions

Turnaround

Simple cleanup (wire removal, marker removal) typically 1-2 days per batch. Complex work (crew removal, beauty retouching) 3-5 days. Rush delivery available for tight deadlines.

Where This Fits In Your Pipeline

Cleanup rarely runs alone. Rotoscopy pulls mattes, matchmove locks the track, and cleanup handles paint and removals. All three streams run parallel, feeding into compositing once each is locked. One brief, one schedule, no team waiting on another.

Removed Without a Trace

Cleanup so precise the removed element reads like it was never there. No echoes, no edges, no flicker.

What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between simple and complex cleanup?
Simple: static-camera wire and rig removals, on-set marker cleanup, basic paint fixes. Complex: moving-camera rig removals where the background has to be rebuilt under the wire, crew removal with full plate reconstruction, period cleanup (modern signage out of period set extensions), and beauty work held consistent across full sequences.
Can you remove objects from moving camera shots?
Yes. We combine 3D tracking, projection-based paint (clean elements projected onto tracked geometry so the painted area moves with the camera), and frame patching from the rest of the shot to handle moving-camera removals. Which approach fits depends on what the plate offers — sometimes projection works, sometimes a clean plate from another take is more reliable.
Do you provide clean plates?
Yes. If clean plates were not captured on set, we can reconstruct clean backgrounds from the available footage.
How do you handle beauty retouching?
Subtle, natural-looking retouching that keeps the performer's look while removing blemishes, shine, or temporary marks. We never over-smooth or make faces look artificial.
Can you remove logos and signage?
Yes. We handle logo removals, signage replacements, and brand cleanup for licensing and distribution requirements.
